Early Orthodontic and Facial Growth Evaluation and Management.

We also provide early orthodontic and facial growth evaluation and management.  Orthodontic problems or malocclusion can be either inherited or acquired. 

Common inherited problems can be:

1. Crowded teeth.
2. Widely gaped teeth.
3. Irregular alignment of the jaws, teeth and face.

Acquired orthodontic problems may be

1. Caused by accidents.
2. Caused by habits such as chronic pacifier or thumb sucking.
3. Obstruction of airways by tonsils and adenoids.
4. Premature loss of baby or permanent teeth.
5. Dental disease.

These problems can affect facial development and appearance as well as teeth alignment. If the existence of these problems can be determined early, then they can be corrected by appliances such as braces, muscle trainers or myobrace. If left untreated then the problems may become more difficult to fix in later years and treatments may become more extensive and costly. Some treatments are not suitable for all candidates.
